The key decision

Agree on three short calls before entering: “cover”, “move out” and “stagger together”. React to the encounter's cues instead of a memorised stopwatch.

1. Agree on the version and calls

Before entering, record the region and mode shown in the dungeon window. This guide teaches three recognisable patterns. If your version shows different cues or an extra phase, follow the live encounter and note the difference. Do not import entry requirements, rewards or timers from another server.

Choose one person for short calls. Everyone should know their movement, defence and stagger-damage buttons. Agree that a mechanic call interrupts the normal damage loop. This preparation reduces the number of things you need to explain simultaneously during the fight.

2. Wave: put the stone between you and the boss

The community notes describe a wave answered by hiding behind a stone that appears. Being near a stone is not the same as being on its protected side.

On “cover”, stop attacking and check the order: boss, stone, your character. Do not stand between the boss and the stone. Choose a clear route to cover instead of finishing one last attack. The diagram illustrates relative positions, not the exact arena shape or a measured safe radius. After the mechanic, look around before returning to your target.

The stone separates you from the boss. Position schematic, not to scale; it does not show the whole arena.

3. Whirlwind: react to the red dust

In the KR material, red dust around Berk warns of a whirlwind; the spinning boss can follow a player. Leave the dangerous area instead of trying to finish a melee sequence.

If the boss moves towards you, watch your teammates too. Try to lead the danger through open space. Other players should make room rather than follow the target as a group. Do not assume the whirlwind always chooses the tank. For a learning party, separating safely is a more useful practice goal than maintaining uninterrupted attacks.

Interrupt your combo and watch where the boss moves. Response schematic without ranges or guaranteed targeting.

4. Stagger: the whole party on one call

In the documented Conquest version, the stagger gauge unlocks at roughly 50% HP. Empty it to stop the party-wiping attack. Save suitable skills for that moment.

Before fighting, everyone names the skill they will contribute. When the gauge activates, the caller says “stagger together”. Watch gauge progress, not just your damage numbers. If the check fails, review whether skills were ready and when they were used. Do not automatically conclude that more expensive equipment is required. The HP percentage is a reference from the recorded version; the live cue in your client is decisive.

5. Watch one relevant segment before retrying

Grobs' video separates whirlwind (00:44), pillar and AoE (01:18), and stagger (01:54). It is supplementary Conquest material from 2025, not our own footage verifying Global.

After a failed attempt, choose one problem. Watch only the relevant segment, agree on one adjustment and retry. For example: “Wave: two players stood on the boss side; next time we check the stone's side.” That note helps more than a general “not enough DPS”. When sharing a guide, include the region, mode and date of your own recording. Do not present another person's fight as your own test.
